Rooted in Ecology
In his youth, Elan Bills spent many hours studying the patterns of the landscapes he called home. From arid deserts, verdant highlands, and coastal plains, Elan has immersed himself in the natural world, molding his naturalistic design.
After spending an uninspiring half-decade in management, he departed for greener pastures. Choosing to prioritize creativity, mental health, and his passion for Landscape Design, Elan found his niche while gardening and designing for the famous Gage Hotel in far west Texas. With the freedom to implement his creations, he was able to evolve and filter his design aesthetic.
Seeking new challenges and temperatures below 115 degrees, Elan relocated to Maine where he would spend the next three years working for one of Maine’s largest landscape companies.
Following that experience, he chose to pursue a Master of Ecological Design from the Conway School of Landscape Design in order to satiate his drive to create cohesive and contextual outdoor spaces.
With more tools at his disposal and eager to address the landscape chasm in Maine, Elan would return to pursue his expansive naturalistic approach and develop his Ecological Design practice.
